What are the specific requirements relating to Technology and Engineering Support?

In order to be considered as a Whirlpool Supplier, the following criteria is required:

• Best cost, quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Continuous innovation in design and manufacturing for best-in-class quality and technology.
• Structured project tracking, design reviews with management tollgates, utilizing design and process FMEA, fault tree analysis, reverse engineering and other tools where applicable.
• Pro-E compatible drawings/prints.
• Understanding and use of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance.
• Access to UL, CSA and other agency approval.

The following items are preferred, but not required:

• Laboratory capability for engineering conformance and reliability testing.
• Prototype capabilities.
